The Road to the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Alejandro Villa Bass made quick work of his group until he faced Rex Bondi and earned his first 18U singles title at the Sweet Spotter Series. The de facto group final ended 6-4.
Kenny Przychodzen had only a slightly bumpier route to his group championship, but was pushed even further in what amounted to the title match with Bora Barclay, whom he defeated in a tiebreak.
Bondi and Christopher Tower Morris earned third- and fourth-place points for coming second in their groups.
It is truly a game of matchups and energy---while Barclay gave the group champion the sternest test, he dropped matches to each of the other groupmates to finish eighth overall in the tournament. It also means the group was deep and he is not far off from an 80-point day, either.

Each weekend this spring and summer, Tennis Central is bringing you USTA and UTR tournaments at The Landon School. Earn points for advancing through each round, just like on the pro tours, and qualify for the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP at season's end.
Bigger events offer more points, with the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP offering the most, as well as prizes.
