No Valentines' love lost

Blue Glove Open: Week 11

A short marquee of matches likely due to the Valentine's Day weekend saw Valentine Parrella take Bora Barclay the distance and Barclay's first two hard-earned wins of the winter season, but Gus Fisher reigns as Player of the Week after an upset victory over second-seeded Group A player Alvaro Orlove.

Fisher won 8-4 to get to .500 on the season and within two games of his Group B final as the campaign nears its end. Meanwhile, Orlove's proven the most prolific of Tennis Central players---he also competed in Travel Team Plus, earning a victory, and adding to his record 15 matches this season, a tally he shared with Tomas Mulita.

Renata Cavallo stole Mulita's thunder, winning the latter's 15th match 8-4. The two will no doubt renew their rivalry again soon, with Mulita leading the group by a game, and Cavallo trailing the finals spots only on games-won percentage.

Join us for our race to WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND when the Group Finals will be played. Continue the journey through the winter with our outdoor BGO matches, Bethesda CC indoor training and matches, and our BGO-fueled Travel Team Plus!
