Propst's first win; Battle of Siblings

Blue Glove Open: Week 8

Siena Propst earned the first victory of her BGO season with a strong performance against BGO mainstay Alvaro Orlove. The 8-3 victory makes her 1-2 in Group A play, bringing her within one game of her opponent.

The Mathuras won the battle of the siblings in a rare simultaneous family pairing. JT Mathura cemented his place atop the Group A standings with a win over Mack Fisher, while Kali Mathura defeated Gus Fisher to get within striking distance of Group B leader Valentine Parrella.

Parrella, last week's selection for Player of the Week honors, took another match away from a Group A opponent this time around. He bested Liza Matal 8-2 to deepen his argument for promotion next season.

The races are are starting to sift the likely finalists from the peloton in Groups A and B but are wide open in the bottom groups. Olivia Hoffman and John Ozenci hold slight leads.
