Youngsters take the spotlight

The Road to THE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

11/5 - USTA - 10U

11/6 - UTR - 12U

Two tournaments for the two youngest groups in the Sweet Spotter Series rankings allowed the youngsters to take center stage this weekend. Four different group winners emerged from the 16-player USTA tournament at Holton on Saturday, while Tour Championship semifinalist Rohan Bhagat moved up to second place overall in the rankings with his third tour victory of the year at the 12U on Sunday.

At the USTA 10U, Kavian Moinfar dispatched top seed Pierson Holahan 4-0 but needed to dig deep again third-placed Jamill Siddo to win 4-3 and take Group A's championship.

Meanwhile, Watson Myers and Max Radin both had the same amount of trouble in their championship runs, winning two matches handily and being pushed 4-2 in their de facto finals.

Group C saw the oddest combination of matches, with only three players and a walkover included. Finn Jackson defeated Samik Singh 4-2 to claim the trophy.

The full tables now look like this.

Each weekend until Thanksgiving, Tennis Central is bringing you USTA and UTR tournaments at Holton-Arms School. Earn points for advancing through each round, just like on the pro tours, and qualify for the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP at season's end.

Bigger events offer more points, with the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP offering the most, as well as prizes.

Check here for updates each week to the Sweet Spotter Series Rankings, a 52-week points system based on the pro tours, as well as recaps of all the action and photos.
