Blue Glove Open: New Winter Season off to a strong start
Holton Arms hosted its first Blue Glove Open matches as Julia Ross and Annecy Tran christened the new venue in a thriller. Ross won her second BGO match and first of the new winter season 7-6 to earn her first Player of the Week honors. She assumes top position in the early stages of Group D.
Elsewhere, Jeremy Chud's commanding two victories over Bora Barclay and William Green place him in first place in Group A. In a rematch of the Group C Final, newly promoted Renata Cavallo and Tomas Mulita met in Group B, with Cavallo backing up her final win with a 7-5 victory here.
Jai Arora broke through Group B struggles last season in a hard-fought loss to Sina Dinan, 8-6, and a victory over Yael Lan, 8-2.
